OVERALL SCOPE OF THE ORGANISATION

Our client is incorporated to meet the growing demand in the market for efficient Supply Chain Management (SCM) and logistics systems. They provide personalized SCM/Logistics solutions aligned with the varying needs of companies based on its own integrated Supply Chain & Logistics solution. Depending on the customers’ needs, various solution combinations are offered which ensures a steady information exchange among the solutions and connections within the systems.

Duties

  • Raise container detention (import and export) invoices to the consignees / shippers on daily basis.
  • Chase for payment of detention and demurrage on national basis.
  • Send notice to consignees / shippers for overdue containers
  • Send overdue 30 days laden containers to consignees every 2 weeks, pass on to container team if any discrepancy of container return date
  • Job order creation allocated by managers adjusting by port or category
  • Detention banking into system once fund confirmed by accounting dept.
  • Assist container control team on daily duties.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse team members
  • Inventory recording – Overseeing stock storage processes
  • To ensure the uninterrupted availability of stock held in the warehouse.
  • Liaising with Operations team to maintain the stock storage processes and solutions.
  • Ensure stock modules are accurately maintained at all times using appropriate software systems and procedures.
  • Monitor demand against available stock levels on a regular basis and advise involved parties of potential supply issues.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience as a stock controller (not required but desired)
  • Maintain companies’ stock inventories to meet business requirements
  • Proficiency in inventory management
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb negotiation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite
  • Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and work to deadlines
  • Work harmoniously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
